Circular loop around Mens

Park in Mens town centre, near the Tourist Office, where there are several easily accessible car parks.

(S/E) Walk up the street in the town centre, continuing straight ahead, heading east; the pavements are narrow, until you reach the Croix junction.

(1) Head towards Le Pigeonnier on the right. Continue climbing for about 1.5 km until you reach a viewpoint with a bench.

(2) Continue to the place called Marguillard.

(3) Continue straight ahead to finish the climb to the village of Menglas.

(4) Return in the opposite direction, now descending, to Marguillard.

(3) Continue left downhill on a tarmac road until you reach the Levas signpost. Continue downhill, following the D66 for a few dozen metres. You will soon come to the Chemin de Serre Bertras crossroads, also known as the Chemin des Philosophes.

(5) Turn left onto this road, then keep right at the next crossroads to reach the houses of Beaumet.

(6) Turn right towards Mens, crossing the D526 several times .

(7) Take a dirt track on the right that runs alongside the road, like a raised pavement. Reach the centre of Mens, passing by the Obiou retirement home and Chemin des Alouettes. Continue along Rue des Aires, then Avenue du Dauphiné, to return to the car park in the centre of Mens (S/E).

There are numerous car parks available in the town of Mens, along with a few shops, cafés and restaurants.
You can also get there by public transport, for example by taking the T95 line: Mens, Monestier-de-Clermont - Grenoble, which is the regional coach service, with regular departures.
