Park along the Lamothe Saussac industrial estate, Rue des Iris.
(S/E) Leave Rue des Iris heading north until you reach the Jalle du Nord.
(1) Just before crossing the Jalle du Nord via a bridge, turn right onto a farm track. This track runs alongside the Jalle du Nord and heads east. It then passes under a high-voltage power line.
(2) At the junction of farm tracks, ignore the one leading left over a small bridge spanning the Jalle du Nord and the one on the right which returns to the farm track you have just left. Continue straight on towards a meadow, staying on the grassy farm track that runs alongside the Jalle du Nord, at the edge of the field.
Please note: this meadow, which is unfenced on the Jalle du Nord side, is used for cattle grazing. Consequently, you may need to open the electric fence and ensure you close it properly after passing through (unhook and reattach the insulated handle).
Pretty soon, the grassy farm track runs alongside a wood on the right and the Jalle du Nord on the left.
Further on, there is a beautiful view of the Château de la Tour Carnet.
The grassy farm track is very shaded in this section and the ground can be quite soft during wet weather.
Further on, the path, which continues to run alongside the Jalle du Nord, offers a lovely view of the vineyards and the (modern) cellars of Château Camensac.
(3) When you reach a junction of farm tracks and a small bridge crossing the Jalle du Nord on the left, turn right onto the stony farm track which heads straight towards the Chenal du Milieu.
(4) When you reach the Milieu channel, turn right and take the farm track that heads west in a long straight line.
At a small stone bridge crossing the Milieu channel, leave the farm track heading south and continue straight on.
About two hundred metres further on, the track passes under the high-voltage power line.
Almost immediately, the track turns into a tarmac road, curves in an ‘S’ shape and arrives at the hamlet of Vivey, which the route passes through, continuing straight on.
Ignore a road branching off to the left. Further on, the track turns to the right: ignore the Route de Vivey branching off to the left.
(5) After house number 18, turn left into Rue des Glycines, a fairly narrow passage that curves to the left.
Shortly afterwards, turn right onto a path that runs alongside properties on the left and a storm water retention reservoir on the right. This path goes straight on until it joins Rue des Bleuets, which you follow to the right.
(6) Shortly afterwards, turn left and take the path leading to a bench on a slight hill.
The path goes straight on and joins Rue des Iris. Turn right onto this street and, shortly afterwards, leave the road on the left which leads to the industrial estate.
A few dozen metres further on, the route returns to the starting point, marking the end of this walk (S/E).
