Departure from the car park near the Fléville cemetery.
(S/E). Take the wide path heading north-west that runs alongside the castle grounds.
(1) At the top of the hill, just before the Alinea shop, turn right onto a path leading to a meadow: walk downhill along the line of trees on your left until you reach the edge of the meadow, where you will find a gap leading to the Bretagne housing estate.
(2) Take the path up towards Rue de Rennes and follow it to its intersection with Rue de Morlaix. From there, follow the footpath to the north-east, which runs alongside Embanie Park and then crosses a new residential area. Continue straight ahead at each intersection.
(3) At the Rue du Port Cros junction, continue straight ahead along the Moulin stream, passing under Avenue Léon Songeur. Turn right after crossing the stream and continue to the crossroads at the water treatment plant.
(4) There, take the path on the right, cross the D71, go up to the left along it for 50 metres and take the cycle path on the right along the Route de Laneuveville.
(5) Continue straight ahead to the railway line, then turn right along it via Rue Robert Damery and enter the cul-de-sac Le Nid, which extends it.
(6) At the end of this road, turn left at the car park onto a path along the railway line which leads to the canal towpath.
(7) Then turn right. The return journey is along the canal to the water treatment plant.
(8) Turn right onto a path that leads to the cycle path along the D71. Turn left onto this path, which takes you back to the car park (S/E).
