Regardoir and Roche aux Corneilles viewpoints

The car park is located in front of the Chalets du Lac de Vouglans, providing access to Mercantine Beach.

(S/E) Follow the path down towards the beach.

(1) Take the path branching off to the left and continue to the Route Forestière du Chenet.

(2) Turn left, then left again 20 m further on to follow the Route de Moirans for about 80 m. Then turn right to reach the Route du Lac.

(3) Turn right and follow the road to the junction by the restaurant. Walk past it and follow the straight path of the old Roman road to the next junction, located by a pumping station.

(4) Turn left for about 20 metres, then turn right at the Maison du Gouillat. Follow the path running alongside the D470 until it joins a small tarmac road. Follow this road by turning right, then take a short detour to the left to see a memorial to the Second World War.

(5) Turn back and rejoin the route to the left.

(6) Pass a picnic area, come alongside the D470 then turn right to follow a path running parallel to it. Cross the dirt car park near the large roundabout.

(7) Turn right to reach the Belvédère du Regardoir viewpoint and admire the view over Lake Vouglans.

(8) Turn back.

(7) Turn right onto the path running alongside the D470.

(9) Turn right to follow the path down to a junction.

(10) Turn right towards the Bois de la Refrèche and reach another crossroads.

(11) Turn right and follow the path, which remains parallel to the D470 and joins the^GR®9further on.

(12) Turn right and follow the^GR®9towards Grange Marveille.

(13) Before reaching the hamlet, turn right and follow the fence until you reach the Route Forestière de la Refrèche, which is tarmac-surfaced. Turn right onto this road and head north to the end of the road at the Crique de la Refrèche.

(14) After the viewpoint over the Crique de la Refrèche, retrace your steps and take the path on the left that runs alongside the lake. Pass directly below the Belvédère du Regardoir and continue to the Belvédère de la Roche aux Corneilles, with its view over Lake Vouglans.

(15) Retrace your steps and turn left to follow the Route Forestière du Chenet until you reach the junction located a few dozen metres from the D301, which you passed on the way out.

(2) Join the Route de Moirans (D301) and follow it to the left until you reach the Chalets du Lac de Vouglans. Turn left to return to the car park (S/E).

This route requires good walking boots. Some sections lead to steep slopes. The ground is littered with small rocks, stones and roots.
