Around Rumilly-en-Cambrésis

Park in the car park at the town hall on Rue Charles Gide.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn right and pass the church. At the junction with Rue Léon Blum, turn right. At the junction with Rue de Niergnies, continue straight ahead, ignore the paths on the right and take the road.
(1) At the three-way junction, go straight ahead, passing under a power line and ignoring the two paths on the right.

(2) At the junction with the D76, cross with caution and continue along the road opposite. At the crossroads, turn right.

(3) At the junction with the D142, cross with caution, continue straight ahead and ignore the road on the left. At the junction with Rue des Marguinettes, turn right.

(4) At the intersection with Rue de Paradis, turn left. At the crossroads with Rue de Lesdain, go straight ahead onto Rue du Pont Papier. At the intersection with Chemin d'Honnecourt, turn right. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and pass the pumping station.

(5) At the intersection with Rue de Bel Aise, turn right. At the crossroads with Chemin de la Vallée de Vichy, go straight ahead, cross the Canal de Saint-Quentin and turn left onto Chemin de Halage.

(6) Just after the Écluse du Tordoir, take the small pedestrian path on the right. At the intersection with Rue Basse, turn right and at the intersection with Rue du Sapin, turn left.

(7) At the intersection with Rue Haute, turn right and at the crossroads with Rue du Stade, turn left, ignoring the lane and path on the right, then the path on the left.

(8) At the three-way junction with Voie de la Rue Haute des Vignes, turn right and ignore the path on the right.

(9) At the intersection with Rue Haute, turn left and ignore La Cavée.

(10) At the Crèvecoeur lock, turn left onto the Digue du Canal and do not cross the canal. Pass the Saint-Waast and Masnières locks.

(11) At the Rue Lain bridge, stay on the left, then turn right and go over the canal, ignoring the path on the right and the street on the left. At the intersection with Rue des Dimeurs, turn right.

(12) When you reach the school, turn left, then follow the path to the left of the school. At the intersection with Rue de Crèvecoeur, turn right, then left onto Rue de Rumilly. Ignore the two pedestrian paths on the left, the dead-end street on the right and left, and the street on the left and right, then continue on Rue Maurice Thorez.

(13) At the Chemin de la Barrière crossroads, turn left and at the Sentier de Masnières intersection, turn right. At the Rue Henri Barbusse crossroads, go straight ahead onto Rue Anatole France and ignore the small road on the right.

(14) At the intersection with Ruelle de la Motte, turn right and ignore the pedestrian lane on the left and right. At the intersection with Rue Paul Lafargue, turn right and ignore the street on the right.

(15) At the intersection with Place du 19 mars 1962, turn left and ignore the alley on the left. At the intersection with Rue Pierre Curie, turn left and you will arrive in front of the town hall (S/E).

The route is not technically difficult but is not signposted. The terrain consists of earth, stones and tarmac. Wear suitable footwear.
