Around Ribécourt-la-Tour

Put on your walking boots and leave Ribécourt-la-Tour behind for a getaway where the countryside is your companion. Description of the walk

Park near Ribécourt-la-Tour town hall.

(S/E) Stand with your back to the town hall, then cross the D29 to take Rue de Marcoing. When you reach Chemin des Processions, turn right.

(1) Go through the entrance to the British military cemetery , then continue straight aheadat the junction with Rue d'En Bas .

(2) At the intersection with Rue des Postes, follow the road opposite to take the path that appears. At the crossroads, turn right.

(3) At the entrance to Chemin du Bois Couillet, turn left. At the next crossroads, turn right, follow the wind turbines and ignore the two turnings on the left.

(4) At the corner of Rue de l'Argilière in Villers-Plouich, turn right, then right again onto Rue de l'Église. At the junction with Rue Hurle Vent, continue straight ahead onto Rue Jules Ferry.

(5) At the fork in Rue de Beaucamps, turn right, then at the three-way junction, take the right-hand road.

(6) Do not follow the path on the right, but continue along Rue Gustave Bulte in Beaucamps, once again passing the British military cemetery.

(7) At the crossroads with Chemin de Ribécourt, turn right without taking the path on the left. Then, at the intersection with the D89, turn left to return to Ribécourt-la-Tour.

(8) At the junction with Rue des Postes, continue straight ahead, ignoring the two dead-end streets and the side road on the right. At the junction with Rue de l'Église, turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the D29.

(9) At the bend in Rue Michel Sauvage, turn left, then take the third road on your right, Chemin de la Rue de Ribécourt.

(10) At the junction with Chemin de la Garenne, turn right without following the other fork. At the next crossroads, follow the road straight ahead.

(11) At the junction with the D92, turn right, then, after going around the cemetery, turn left onto Profond Chemin towards Flesquières.

(12) At the junction with Rue de Boursies, turn right.

(13) At the intersection with Rue d'Artois, turn left, then turn left again onto Rue du Château. At the crossroads with Rue Cornotte, turn right.

(14) At the corner of Rue du Calvaire, make a left-right turn to reach Rue du Moulin.

(15) On the D89, opposite the Nations monument, turn right and follow the road. At the next crossroads, turn left. If a gate is closed, go through the small gate on the left. Finally, at the junction with the D89 as you return to Ribécourt-la-Tour, turn right onto Rue de Flesquières and join the D29. The town hall is on your right. (S/E)
