Description of the walk

Park in the car park at Neuville-Saint-Rémy Town Hall.

(S/E) With your back to the Town Hall, turn right onto Rue Jean Lebas. Ignore the street on your left and the two streets on your right. Turn left and at the intersection with Rue Voltaire, continue straight ahead onto Rue Victor Hugo. At the intersection, turn left onto Rue Jean Jaurès and continue straight ahead, ignoring the path and the street on your right, as well as the one on your left.

(1) At the crossroads, turn right onto Rue Maurice Camier, ignore the street on the left and turn left. At the intersection, turn left onto Rue du Fournil, take the pedestrian path, then turn right onto Rue de la Tour, and right again at the next intersection.

(2) At the intersection, turn right onto Rue du Riot des Saules, go under the railway bridge, then turn right onto Quartier de la Fontaine (Tilloy-lez-Cambrai). Continue along Rue Jean Lebas until you reach the end.

(3) At the three-way junction, turn right onto Rue Marquette, cross the railway line and continue along Rue Alfred Frontal (Neuville-Saint-Rémy), ignoring the street on your right. At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue Albert Samain, then right, staying on the same street.

(4) At the intersection, turn right onto Rue du 8 Mai 1945, ignoring the street on your right. At the intersection, turn left onto Rue du Pont Rouge, then right. Follow the Grand Carré along the footpath, continue to the left and take the path (Cambrai).

(5) At the crossroads with Rue de Douai, continue straight ahead on Digue du Canal. At the intersection, turn left onto Rue d'Abbeville, ignoring the street on your right. At the crossroads, cross and turn right onto Rue des Docks. After the canal, go down the steps on the left, continue along the pedestrian path, pass the playground on the left and turn right onto Rue du Canal. Then continue on the right-hand lane (in the direction of traffic).

(6) Cross Avenue François Mitterand with caution and continue straight ahead on Rue du Canal. Turn left onto Rue des Docks and ignore the street on your left. At the three-way junction, turn left onto Route de Bapaume, then turn right onto Rue de Bourlon (Raillencourt-Sainte-Olle). Continue straight ahead on Chemin des Vignes until you reach the military cemetery.

(7) Turn right onto Chemin des Vignes, and at the crossroads, cross Route d'Arras with caution and continue straight ahead, staying on Chemin des Vignes. Follow the A2 motorway, then turn right.

(8) At the three-way junction at the military cemetery, turn left onto Chemin d'Oisy, continue along Rue d'Oisy (Neuville-Saint-Remy).

(9) At the intersection, turn left onto Rue du Moulin, then left again. At the roundabout, turn right onto Rue Gambetta. At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue de Vire and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue de Lille after crossing Rue du 11 Novembre. At the intersection, turn left onto the D2643 and continue to the town hall car park (S/E).
