Park in the car park of Saint-Pierre Church in Livers-Cazelles on the edge of the D600.
The route is not marked except for a section ofthe GR®36(red and white markings) a few hundred metres before Magot.
(S/E) With your back to the church, walk along the cemetery, leaving it on your left. At the D600, cross the road carefully and continue straight ahead. Do the same at the next junction. The track winds through the woods, gently descending towards the Ratayrié stream.
(1) Before reaching the stream, turn left onto the path. Follow the stream, ignore a path crossing on the right and, at the next junction, turn left to climb up to the group of houses at La Borie.
(2) Cross the hamlet and, when you reach the D600, cross it again to take the farm track opposite.
(3) At the crossroads, turn right onto the perpendicular path that climbs up to Livers Castle. At the bend, at the foot of the square tower, climb the steps and walk along the large wall to reach the castle garden. Small paths allow you to walk around it and discover its architecture.
(4) Château de Livers. Return to the road, leaving the village of Livers on your right, and head left for a few metres. At the left-hand bend, leave the path that goes around the castle and turn right onto the path heading north towards Les Maurels, then right again towards the D7. Follow the road to the left for 30 metres, cross over and take the dirt and gravel track opposite.
(5) Start of theGR®36trail; follow it to the left for about 350 metres, passing in front of the Fontaine de Vaysse fountain.
(6) End of theGR®36 trail;leave it by turning left. Climb through fields and meadows to Magot, then finish gently on the D7. Cross the departmental road and continue opposite. The road first winds between fields, then crosses the woods with a sharp right-hand hairpin bend 400m after entering the woods.
(7) After the hairpin bend and at the next bend, leave the road and take the dirt track on the right towards Cantegrel. Do not cross the hamlet but go around the farm on the right.
(8) At the first junction on the left, turn left. At the road on the other side of Cantegrel, turn right. Leave Livers on your left and behind you to arrive at the Château de Cazelles estate.
(9) It is no longer possible to visit the grounds of Château de Cazelles, and the path running parallel to the road has been ploughed and no longer exists. Turn left onto the D600, then left again to return to Saint-Pierre Church, the starting point (S/E).
