Departure: car park near the crêperie at Moulin du Pont, on the Quimper-Bénodet road.
(S/E) Follow the road towards the roundabout towards Quimper. Go around the roundabout on the left to reach Anse de Saint-Cadou.
Turn left and follow this wide path westwards. You will still have the river branch on your right.
(1) Just after a marked path that branches off to the left, turn right to follow a path that runs closer to the river. This path is circular and offers an unobstructed view of Penfrat Castle (private property, not open to visitors).
(2) Return to the path you left earlier at a very old oak tree and continue on the left, ignoring a path leading to the castle. Pass the castle entrance and take a path on the right, in the woods, parallel to the road.
(3) Follow this path while staying on the edge of the woods.
(4) Exit the woods on the left and immediately turn right onto the small road that runs alongside a riding centre.
(5) At the next intersection, turn right to reach the remarkable Saint-Cadou Chapel. Retrace your steps.
(5) Continue straight ahead until the next intersection, where you turn right.
(6) Continue for about 100 metres, take the marked path on the left and follow it until you reach a road. Cross the road and continue straight ahead. At Botdrez, turn right and follow this path which runs alongside fields and wooded areas.
(7) When you reach the Pors Meillou road, turn right and go down this road. Make a detour to the right to see the Notre-Dame-du Vray Secours Chapel and rejoin the small road that goes down to the Pors Meillou slipway on the banks of the Odet. On your left is the Boutiguéry estate (open to visitors on Sunday afternoons).
(8) Walk back up the road a little and take the small bridge on the left over the stream, then continue along the path that gradually climbs to Ty Guen, which we passed on the way there.
(6). Continue along the same road as on the way there, turning left.
(5) Turn right (do not return to the Saint-Cadou Chapel). Pass Penfrat and the equestrian centre.
(4) Turn left into the woods (large circular variant marker) and follow the yellow markings, which take you on a clockwise route through the woods.
(10) Reach the edge of the cove, where you will have a view of Toulven Castle on the other side of the river. Follow the markings closely along the edge of the cove.
(9) Go up the diagonal path to leave the woods and rejoin the road.
(3) Follow it to the left, pass the castle and continue along the path you took on the way there. Ignore the first road on the right and take the next one.
(11) Cross the Pont residence and turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
