Description of the walk

To get to Hix, take the N116 towards Mont Louis, then Saillagouse and Bourg Madame. Park near the church.

(S/E) From the car park, follow the red and white markings ofthe GR®36to Osséja. At the entrance to Osseja, join the D30b road junction.

(1) Go under the bridge and turn left. Continue along Avenue de Cerdagne. You will soon come to the junction ofthe GR® and theGRP® Tour de Cerdagne. Leave theGR® and turn right onto theGRP® marked in red and yellow. Head for Saint-Pierre Church.

(2) Turn left, still on theGRP®, here in town it is Avenue Saint-Roch then Rue du Marquis de Tilière. Arrive at the crossroads of Rue des Chasseurs.

(3) Turn left, cross the bridge over the Riu Llavanera to reach the picnic area.

(4) Turn right. Follow the wide track alongside the campsite. The track will narrow and you will cross a small stream, the Riu de Vilallobent, which marks the border.
