To get to Ur, take the N116 towards Mont Louis. Then take the D618 towards Font Romeu, then Angoutrine and finally Ur.
The Yellow Train from Villefranche-de-Conflent also goes there.
Ur is the last village on the D618, as the N20 comes next.
Park in the car park near Saint-Martin Church (listed as a historic monument).
(S/E) From the car park at Saint-Martin Church, start by going up the D618 towards Angoustrine.
(1) Before the sharp bend, take Rue du Belloc on the left. Follow the yellow markings uphill, then first turn left then right as you continue climbing.
Pass a reservoir on your left.
Climb a little and keep your eyes peeled, as you will need to turn right and follow the irrigation canal for just over a kilometre.
On a flat section where the road is on the right, continue straight ahead.
(2) The path leads you to the side of the D618. Cross the Riberata and continue to the roundabout.
(3) After the roundabout, turn right onto Cami de Llivia. Continue along it on the left and cross the Angoustrine river further on.
(4) Continue along the path on the right until you reach a junction with a path that climbs to the left.
(5) Follow this path until you reach a crossroads.
(6) Go down to the left and follow the track all the way.
(7) At the intersection, ignore the sign indicating "Ur 3.3 km" on the right and continue straight ahead.
A few metres further on, at the fork, take the path on the right. You will enter Llivia.
(8) Turn right onto Cami de Ral, where you will find the yellow markings again. Further on, at the crossroads, turn right and continue straight on to Ur.
(9) Cross the Angoustrine again and continue along Rue Fabre. Then turn left onto Rue Carbonell, then right onto Rue Llanas to return to your starting point at the church (S/E).
