Les Condamines – Monts du Matin

Mountain bike route no. 18.

(S/E)From the school car park, head out to the right and turn left straight away. Head uphill to reach the top of the village, then continue to the left to reach the cross.

(1) Take the small road on the left. At the junction, carry on straight ahead along the road, which becomes a track and leads to Les Carrières.

(2) At the signpost marked ‘Les Baumettes’, continue to the right.

(3) Continue along the dirt track (south-east) to reach Champ des Pins and its signpost.

(4) Take the track straight ahead which climbs up to Le Soufflot (Pré des Crapaudes).

(5) Head down to the right. At the next junction (Maroux on the map), turn left and head down to reach the Chemin des Abreuvoirs, which you should follow to the left. Pass the Mât Pierre signpost.

(6) Continue along this road, keeping in the same direction and ignoring two turn-offs to the right and another to the left. Walk alongside a field on your right. At the junction at the end of the field, turn right towards the houses, then turn left at the crossroads.

(7) At the “Forage” signpost, leave the tarmac and turn left onto a wide track. Carry on straight ahead, then turn right at a 90° angle.

(8) Continue to the left and keep left at the following junctions until you reach Gros Pin.

(9) Carry on straight ahead, passing in front of Toutes Aures to reach the plain and then the Col de Toutes Aures.

(10) Turn right onto the D119A: watch out for cars! Carry on for about 150 metres.

(11) When you reach a boundary stone, leave the road and turn left onto the dirt track. Be careful – there’s a very muddy section at the bottom of the descent.

(12) At Les Bériches, turn right onto the small road. At the crossroads, carry on straight ahead onto the road, which turns into a track. At the end of this, follow the tarmac for a few metres.

(13) Take the track on the right. Then turn left and head for the road at the junction near the cemetery: watch out for cars!

(14) Turn right to head back towards Saint-Vincent-la-Commanderie. Turn left after the town hall to return to the starting point (S/E).
