The Maîtres Sonneurs walking trail between Berry and Bourbonnais, reworked for use by gravel cyclists and mountain bikers, with GPSFor gravel riding, the stages (50 to 60 km) can be combined for the fittest riders, making for around 100 km per day. It is a circular route, so you can start from any village along the trail; for horse riders, plan for 8 stages

This route links La Motte-Feuilly and Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, allowing you to complete the secondary loops of the GRP® in the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers: Berry Romantique and Marche berrichonne (in the opposite direction)

Access to the Sentier des Maîtres Sonneurs from Montluçon SNCF train station: this walking route connects Montluçon train station to Huriel via an additional stage to reach the Sentier des Maîtres Sonneurs. This route corresponds to thefirst stage of the GR®100, which connects Montluçon to Poitiers.

This link between La Motte-Feuilly and Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre allows you to take the Berry Romantique variant of the overall circular route "Itinérance sur les pas des Maîtres Sonneurs entre Berry et Bourbonnais" (Wandering in the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers between Berry and Bourbonnais).

This circular route takes you along the Allier section of the ‘Sentier d’Itinérance: Sur les Pas des Maîtres Sonneurs’ between Berry and Bourbonnaiscovering a distance of 73 km; it can be completed in three or four days. As this is a circular route, you can start from any town, depending on the availability of your chosen accommodation and your mode of transport to get to Huriel from Montluçon (via public transport:the Montluçon–Limoges train, with connections from Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand or Paris).
