Travel back in time from the Greeks to the Romans in Escala

An archaeological dive between sea and pine forest

This hike from L'Escala is much more than just a walk: it's a real journey back in time. The pleasant, well-shaded trail runs alongside coves with turquoise waters before leading you to the extraordinary siteof Empúries. Here you will discover the juxtaposed remains of a Greek city (Emporion) and a Roman town (Emporiae), a unique testimony to the history of the Mediterranean.
