The Plateau de la Justice from the Col des Quatre Chemins
This hike, starting from the Col des Quatre Chemins, will take you along a cliffside trail above the Paillon Valley to the Plateau de la Justice.
After a panoramic section via Mont Fourche and Mont Leuze, you will descend towards the Grande Corniche to return to the starting point.
Tour du Vinaigrier
Starting from the Saint-Roch district, this peri-urban hike will take you to the Mont Vinaigrier site, owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral and managed by the Alpes-Maritimes Department.
This former agricultural estate features a beautiful olive grove overlooked by a cliff and a plateau offering magnificent views over Villefranche harbour and the Baie des Anges.
Tour of Cap de Nice
This hike, which can be started from various points along the route, will take you through the Mont-Boron massif, passing by Fort du Mont-Alban, the residential neighbourhoods of Villefranche and the coastal path from the Villefranche-sur-Mer dock to the port of Nice, via Pointe des Sans-Culottes and Cap de Nice.
This hike through urban, forest and coastal environments will give your calves a good workout thanks to the numerous staircases!
Cap Ferrat Coastline Circuit, French Riviera
In 2012 the Cap Ferrat peninsula was named as the second most expensive residential location in the world after Monaco!! This walk takes you around it’s beautiful coastal path, with stunning views out into the Mediterranean. You will pass countless sets of stone steps on your way round, tempting you down towards the turquoise waters of the peninsula’s many hidden coves and bays.
Mont Boron
Starting from Old Nice, this circuit allows you to discover Mont Boron, known for its many panoramic views of the city, the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cap Ferrat. The return trip along the coastal path is charming and, depending on the season, you can even go for a swim.
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat Tower
A classic on the Marais coast, this coastal walk takes you around Pointe Sainte-Hospice and Cap-Ferrat. Ideal for a sunny day out of season.

The balconies of Beaulieu
An easy and refreshing hike just a few minutes from Nice, offering unusual views of the coastline and overlooking the bay of Villefranche and Beaulieu. A steep but safe passage adds a little spice to the final switchbacks. Best done in spring or autumn to enjoy the sea.

Promenade des Anglais, Nice
This walk takes you along the entire length of the promenade in Nice, between the harbour and Parc Phoenix next to the airport. You will also explore Castle Hill Park (Parc de la Colline du Château), a 19 hectare maze of greenery perched high up above Nice old town, with many areas to be discovered including an impressive waterfall.
Eze and Mont Bastide via the Frédéric Nietzsche trail
A loop starting from Eze Bord de Mer, climbing up to the village of Eze via the Frédéric Nietzsche trail, then ascending Mont Bastide via the David trail for a superb view of Cap Ferrat and the Nice hinterland.
Descend via the Savaric trail through the beautiful villas of Eze Bord de Mer.
On the hill of Gairaut
This walk on the hill of Gairaut will take you through this former rural district, now populated by beautiful villas surrounded by olive trees, with breathtaking views of the city of Nice and the sea.
After a round trip along the Gairaut canal, which has its source in the Vésubie, you will descend towards Avenue de Gairaut before climbing back up to the Church of Saint-Sauveur-de-Gairaut and the Gairaut waterfall, topped by the former caretaker's house in traditional Russian wooden style.
The Pyramid of Falicon
Following theGR®5, a hike that leads to the Falicon Pyramid, then up the slopes above to enjoy the view of Nice, the sea and the snow-capped mountains to the north.

Mont Chauve d'Aspremont from Nice Nord
This pleasant route starts in Nice Nord and takes you to Mont Chauve d'Aspremont via theGR® hillside trail. It offers panoramic views of the Nice metropolitan area and the sea, as well as the Var plain and the first peaks of the Mercantour. It is marked by the ruins of Château Renard, the Falicon Cave and the Fort du Mont Chauve. This route is accessible to most people despite the very stony and slippery paths in wet weather.
Graus ridge
This short hike in the hills near Nice will take you to the foot of Mont Chauve d'Aspremont for a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, Nice and its surroundings.
Ideal for a short trail run... or for walking the dogs (there are many in this area).
Tour of the Tercier Plateau
A hike in a wild and uncrowded area, yet very close to Nice.
You will discover the Plateau Tercier with its panoramic view of the Paillons valleys, the Mercantour and the heights of Nice, as well as a small ruined castle colonised by vegetation: the Castello de Soanès.
Around Fort de la Revère
Despite the unpleasant noise pollution from the A8 motorway on part of this circular route, the Grande Corniche Departmental Park offers exceptional views of both the Mediterranean coastline and the Alps. Fortifications from another century and little-known wooded areas are pleasant to explore.
