Old village of Saint-Éloy

From the D2144 between the modern village of Saint-Éloy-les-Mines and Vieux Bourg, park in the car park marked Plage-Boulodrome (picnic area).

(S/E) Head towards the small blue building and pass it on your right to go down to the beach. Turn left on the beach and walk about a hundred metres before leaving the lake to climb up to the church of Vieux Bourg.

(1) Walk around the building (sculpted heads at the top of the walls), visit the interior (very beautiful frescoes), exit the building and immediately turn left onto Rue de la Poule d'Eau. Back at the lake, continue along the road on the footpath and pass between the lake and a smaller body of water. Continue on the path that veers off the road to the right to go around the lake.

(2) Cross a footbridge. Further on, ignore the path that branches off to the left and joins a road, staying on the path that climbs and continues around the lake on a balcony. Shortly afterwards, you will return to the car park (S/E).

Very easy walk. No special equipment is required, just comfortable shoes.
