Le Puy de Juillat au départ de la Bosse

Park in the Wolframines Museum car park.

(S/E) Cross the D998 with care and take the D129 (Route des Carrières) towards Louroux-de-Bouble and the En Hauteur adventure park. About 200 metres further on, take the path on the right and walk alongside the old kaolin quarry. Then follow the path on your right to reach the viewpoint.

(1) Turn back. At the junction, keep left and carry on straight ahead until you reach a four-way crossroads.

(2) Cross the road and continue straight ahead for about 500 m.

(3) Take the path on the left which crosses the bridge. Join the GR® (marked in white and red) and follow it to the left. At the junction with the road, continue to the right.

(4) Take the path on the right and continue straight on to go round the Puy de Juillat

(5) At the junction, continue along the path to the right and rejoin the GR®.

(6) Turn left and carry on until you reach a multi-way junction.

(7) Turn right towards the Fontaine de Sainte-Colette.

(3) Carry on straight ahead until you reach the road you crossed on the way there.

(2) Turn left onto the road and carry on to the first junction.

(8) Take the path on the right. Cross the D987 with care and continue straight ahead. Pass two successive paths on the right.

(9) Take the third track and head back to the starting car park (S/E).

• Toilets are available outside the Wolframines Museum during its opening hours.

• Several walks start from the Wolframines Museum car park.

• The Colettes State Forest is a hunting area. Please check the authorised hunting dates and days before setting off on your walk. To date, during the hunting season (September to February), hunting is permitted in the area known as “La Bosse” on Tuesdays and Fridays.
