Vidourle (fleuve) walks

A pleasant and easy hike through scrubland and vines with views of the plain of Congéniès. A remarkable site, the Chapelle Saint-Nazaire enshrined in scrubland.

Hike in the foothills of the Cévennes in a heath landscape with beautiful views of two characteristic hills: the Rouquette and Saint-Chamant peaks. The difficulty can be adjusted: each summit can be climbed on a short round trip. I recommend taking a break for a snack at the summit of Saint-Chamant.

Hike along the Mer de Rochers trail, discover the old village and climb up to a limestone plateau dotted with rocky outcrops and covered with heath-type vegetation, which offers some beautiful views. On the outskirts of the village of Sauve, men once cultivated plots of land and a legend was born.

A superb, easy and very pleasant mountain bike ride with numerous herds of Camargue horses and bulls.

Hike to discover two castles: the Château de Marsillargues, former castle of Guillaume de Nogaret, in the centre of the town, which houses a museum, and the Château de Teillan, a former fortified castle nestled between the Vidourle river, the Camargue horse pastures and the vineyards of the Marsillargues region.

This pleasant hike takes you past châteaux (Sommières, Villevieille), olive groves dotted with drystone shelters, and small woods. It also passes through the old Bon Temps quarries in Junas, which host a jazz festival in July.
