Park in the car park of the Freneuse Town Hall located on the RD92.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, follow the RD92 to the right for 800 m until you reach the "La Ronce" bus stop.
(1) Turn left onto the Port Commun path, join a branch of the Seine and follow it to the right. Take the wooden staircase on the left and continue to the river. Then walk along the Seine on your left, ignore the side paths, and continue to the crossroads where there is an old no-vehicle sign on the right.
(2) At Ruelle Arthus, on the right, turn left to get closer to the riverbank again. Continue along this path, which winds to the right. Pass the grasslands on your right and reach the tip of Île de la Requête, where a very old ladder stands.
(3) Turn right onto the grassy path that runs alongside the harbour on your left. Pass the harbour master's office on your right, then turn left into Ruelle Bachelet.
(4) Immediately turn left to walk along the harbour on your left.
Continue straight ahead until you reach a barrier, then follow the small paved road called "Chemin Du Halage". Pass under thefirst road bridge, Pont Jean Jaurès.
(5) Continue straight ahead, ignoring the path on your right, which you will use on the way back. Reach the next bridge, Pont Guynemer.
(6) Continue straight ahead along the banks of the Seine and walk alongside the allotments. You will reach a small turning area just before a barrier for vehicles. There is a bench on your right; walk past it and turn right to cross a small footbridge.
(7) At the exit, turn left, pass the no parking sign, walk along the gardens on your right, then take the path on the left, crossing the narrow passageway with metal barriers.
Continue along the riverbank on your left to see the cliffs and Orival Church on the opposite bank. Continue to the metal footbridge. Cross it and turn right towards a beautiful building with a turret.
(8) Continue straight ahead onto the cycle path. When you reach a street, cross it and follow the tarmac path that winds under the bridge. Continue along this path, then turn right to rejoin the outward route at the Pont Jean Jaurès bridge.
(5) Turn left, go under the bridge and rejoin the towpath you took on the way there. Follow it to the end of the port.
(4) Cross opposite the "2 Île de la Requête" sign onto a small street that quickly becomes a path. Cross thefirst street and walk along the grassy path to the crossroads after the rope between two wooden posts.
(2) Continue straight ahead and follow the Seine on your right along the same path as on the way there.
(1) Join the RD 92 (Rue d'Elbeuf) and follow it to the right until you reach the car park (S/E).
