Verrerie de Touris walks

A circular through the forest to discover the sand quarry that supplied the Tourris glassworks, with some nice surprises inside if you have a head torch, torch or mobile phone. Then we will go to the old marble quarry in Le Revest where some blocks have been engraved, not only with ants, which are in the majority, but also with bees, butterflies, wild boars and a wolf. Finally, we will pass through the hamlet of Les Olivières, which was part of the commune of Le Revest and was abandoned at the beginning of the 20th century: ruins of houses, wells, cisterns and ovens. Don't miss the central square with its magnificent centuries-old oak tree. And we will end with the abandoned glassworks of Tourris. A beautiful walk for the curious, young and old alike. If you take your time, allow 3½ hours for this fascinating walk.
