Alternative route from Annezin

Start from the car park at Saint-Martin Church.

(S/E) Leave the car park, with the church on your right. Then first turn left then right and continue straight ahead.

(1) Turn right and continue straight on along Allée des Fresnes, then onto Rue Pépin. Continue to the roundabout, cross the road and continue straight ahead, walking past the Artois Clinic.

(2) Turn right, following the old harbour to the end.

(3) Turn right and continue along Rue de Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. Cross the road, then the Lawe, and continue left into Parc Mythologique, crossing the park lengthways and exiting onto Place du Général de Gaulle. Cross the road and continue along the street to the left of the second section of Place du Général de Gaulle.

(4) At the end, turn right, go under the bridge, then further on take a first turn right then left, staying alongside the lake whilst admiring the geese. Continue straight ahead.

(5) At the junction, turn right, then turn right again, cross the bridge and take the path on the right. Continue straight ahead.

(6) At the bridge, turn left, then cross the roundabout and continue straight on to the Grand Place.

(7) Cross the square diagonally and join Rue du Carillon, which you should follow to the right. Cross Place Saint-Vaast and take Rue des Martyrs opposite. Continue straight on to the end.

(8) First turn left then right; at the end of the street, first turn right then left to cross the sports park.

(9) On the other side, turn left onto the avenue and continue straight on until you reach Avenue de Verdun.

(10) First turn right then left and return to the starting point (S/E).
