Description of the walk

Park at the picnic tables after the Montel crossroads.

(S/E) Take the path to the left of the picnic tables. Continue straight ahead, cross the Charavan and arrive at Le Sauzet.

(1) Take the small tarmac road on the left. Keep on it beyond the tarmac and you will arrive at the D44.

(2) Take the D44 on the left for 50 m. Follow the small road on the left to enter the hamlet of Le Crozet. Continue to the right of the cross. Keep to the path until you reach Cordailleux.

(3) Turn left at the entrance to the hamlet. Walk alongside the farm building and continue along the path until you reach a fork on the left.

(4) Turn left towards Bard.

(5) Cross the river twice before climbing a steep path that joins the PR®5 and takes you back to the right to the picnic tables (S/E).

A very pleasant short outing, with a final descent and climb near the stream that is a bit steep, but the walks around the stream are very nice.

A really nice route, fairly easy to do with the family. I did it with my 5-year-old daughter, who really enjoyed it. Be careful if it has rained, as part of the route is uphill and quite muddy.

A very enjoyable hike. I did it with my 5-year-old daughter, who loved it. Be careful if it rains before the day of the hike, as the path going uphill is very muddy. A very pleasant, easy hike for the whole family.

Family route, well marked. The trail is a bit rocky towards the end, but overall not difficult. Much of the path is shaded. View of the Forez plain.
