Park in the hikers' car park, clearly signposted on leaving the village of Vaugneray, towards the Col de Malval.
(S/E) Leave the car park via the no entry road, join the road to the pass, Rue de Malval, and turn left. At La Madone, continue left onto Route de Bénévent.
(1) At the "Château de Bénévent" signpost, turn right towards Cunieux.
(2) Leave the small road, ignoring a path on the right (access to fields), and take the first path up on the right, marked with a yellow sign. When you reach a road, turn left until you come to a wooden cross, then continue straight ahead on Chemin de Rochecocu. Keep right at the farm. Ignore a road that branches off to the left.
(3) When you reach a fork, go down to the left. Continue along the road and, at the Cunieux signpost, head towards Col de Malval. Shortly afterwards, at the fork, turn left onto Route de La Prouty. Leave Chemin de la Goutte de Malval on your right. Take the road on the right, cross the stream, and continue on the road until you reach the entrance to the hamlet of La Prouty. Take the path that climbs up to the right above the carpenter's workshop, marked in yellow. When you reach a road, turn right and continue for 200 metres until you reach the house at No. 754.
(4) At the "Croix de la Garde" sign, take the road that climbs to the left. When you reach a fork, take the road climbing to the right, marked in yellow. When you reach the "La Croix de la Garde" signpost, turn left towards La Millonière.
(5) After 100 metres, take the road down to the right. Cross the road towards "Les Pillonières" and continue straight ahead until you reach the entrance to the hamlet of "La Milloniere".
(6) At the wooden cross, turn right, then right again onto the path that climbs towards Les Pillonières, passing in front of the FSGT nature chalet. Leave the path at the first bend and continue straight ahead to join the Aqueducs trail. Turn left onto this trail.
(7) Just before the second stream, leave the path that branches off to the right. At the signpost for Les Pillonières, follow the signs for Le Crêt de Piraluron.
(8) At the "Le Crêt de Piraluron" signpost (altitude 674m), turn left towards "Les Arnauds". At Les Arnauds, cross the road (be careful) and take the path opposite. After 50 metres, turn left, then follow the middle path downhill, marked in yellow. When you reach a road, turn left. Continue until you reach the main road to Yzeron. Follow it to the right until you reach the first road going up to the left.
(9) Take this road towards "Combe Fusil". Cross "Combe Fusil" and continue towards Col de la Fausse. Cross the forest track and continue straight ahead.
(10) At the "Col de la Fausse cote 601" signpost, turn right for 100 m, then at the fork, turn left for 200 m, then right onto the yellow-marked path. At the "La Chana" signpost, cross the road towards Vaugneray via the Route de Bénévent. Pass the Château de Bénévent and you will arrive at the crossroads you passed on the way there
(1). Return to Vaugneray and find the hikers' car park (S/E) via the same route as on the way there.
