Tuarelli - Galeria

(S) Return along the outward route; at the crossroads in the village of Tuarelli, stay on the right bank of the Fango, go slightly uphill along the road and turn left onto the path, continuing on the right bank of the Fango until you reach the Ponte Vecchiu.

(1) Cross the bridge and turn right onto the D351 road (take care as there is a lot of traffic) until you reach the houses of Fango.

(2) Take the path on the left (signposted). Climb through the forest, which remains just as dense, with a mix of pine and chestnut trees. Cross the bed of the Vignale stream before reaching the water reservoirs.

(3) Continue on, cross the Carbunaghia stream, before beginning the gentle descent leading to Galeria, arriving at the Post Office square.

(4) Keep following the orange markings and, via Via Caterone, reach the lodge on the left (E).

No water on this stretch.
No shelters either.

Walking alongside the Fango and its pools, which invite you to take a dip, is a real pleasure.
The Ponte Vecchiu (under restoration in 2010) is a true work of art; it must be sparkling now.
