Description of the walk

You can park in the car park next to the school playground.
There are cairns all along the path to help you stay on track.

(S/E) Take the road heading south to reach the start of the cairn-marked path, which is above the Incantu residence.

(1) At the small gate, behind the residence next to the swimming pool, turn left to climb a fairly wide path.

(2) Leave the wide path and take the small path on the right, marked by two cairns. After about 150 m, turn left and climb steadily.

(3) Then turn right (south) and continue climbing. Make a few bends.

(4) At the first small dome (prehistoric site on the right; view of Galeria Bay), turn left (south-east) to continue climbing the cairn-marked path. Reach another beautiful viewpoint over Galeria Bay.

(5) Continue climbing, heading south-east. At the end of the climb, keep the dome (elevation 753) on your left and watch out for the cairns. You will then reach the summit of Capo Tondu (magnificent panorama).

(6) Follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to Galeria (S/E).

Not suitable for very young children.
Watch out for the heat in summer. You’ll drink all 2 litres of water!

A technical hike with route finding is a real treat. Bring good shoes and a pair of walking sticks. The September storm knocked down many trees, but César and his friends cleared all the debris with chainsaws over at least 150 metres of elevation. It's magnificent, with a magnificent view and very few people. A real treat. I'll keep that in mind for the descent.

A beautiful, challenging climb!
Follow the red and blue markings all the way.
I did it on 1 August, setting off at 7 a.m., which meant I could do the whole climb in the shade. I was alone in the world (I only came across two trail runners during the whole hike).
The 360° view from the summit is incredible.
My watch read: 6.9 km / 950 m elevation gain / 3 hours 45 minutes including breaks

Hike with technical sections on rocky terrain. Take care to watch where you are going as it is easy to stray from the main path.

So… don’t be fooled by the distance – take a good look at the elevation gain!!
A lovely walk that’s a bit like a vertical kilometre and quite technical in the second half (as tricky to climb as it is to descend)!
However, the view from the summit is well worth the effort of the climb!!
