Around Trotte Lapin, in the commune of Moirax

Start from the car park at the Trotte Lapin leisure centre.

(S/E) Leave the car park, take the road to the left and, immediately after the bridge over the Jorle, turn right onto the grassy path running alongside the stream at the edge of the hedge. Continue along the edge of the woodland beside the stream until you reach a road.

(1) Take this road, heading uphill to the left, and pass through the hamlet of Auriolle.

(2) Before a left-hand bend, near a high-voltage electricity pylon, continue straight ahead along the grassy path, following the power line for just over 200 m.

(3) At the junction, turn right onto Chemin de Cluny, marked with green and red signs. Head down through the woodland and continue until you reach a road; turn right onto this road and follow it for about 100 metres until you reach a bridge.

(4) Cross the bridge over the Jorle and turn right onto the path running alongside the stream. About a hundred metres past the road, the path splits into two equally wide paths. Take the one on the left, marked with green and red signs for the Chemin de Cluny.
At the three-way junction, do not cross the bridge on the right over the Jorle but continue straight ahead following the orange markings for the Route d’Artagnan.

(5) About thirty metres further on, ignore the path to the left marked with red and green signs. Cross the ford over the stones or planks depending on the water level, follow the path on the left marked with a green line and a Yellow Cross, and continue along the Ruisseau de Toumbade

(6) Before another ford on the left (Yellow Cross), follow the path climbing to the right with Green markings. On leaving the woods, turn left, continue along the edge for about 100 m, then turn right onto the grassy path climbing between two fields. View to the right of the church of the former priory of Moirax.

(7) Leave the path descending towards Moirax on your right and continue straight ahead following the white/red markings of the GR® 652 until you reach a road.

(8) Cross the road and continue along the path straight ahead, following the blue and red-and-white markings of the GR® 652. Continue until you reach a stony path.

(9) At the junction, take the stony path on the left leading towards the leisure centre for about 100 metres. In front of the entrance posts to the Trotte Lapin Leisure Centre, marked with a chain and a Blue Cross, go down to the right then continue to the left along the grassy path following the blue and white-red markings of^{the GR®} 652. Continue for about 100 metres until you reach a fork.

(10) Turn right to cross the small bridge and climb up into the woods opposite, following the white/red markings of^{the GR®} 652 or the blue markings until you reach a descending road.

(11) Turn left onto the road.

(12) After passing the house in the hamlet of Sigau, at the bottom of the descent, ignore a path on the right and enter the woods on an unmarked path to the left. Follow the stream
and arrive at the fork from the outward journey.

(10) Head back in the opposite direction until you reach the next fork.

(9) Pass the arrival path on your right and continue along the stony path opposite.

(13) Ten metres before the main entrance gate to Trotte Lapin, go down the steps on the left to head towards the car park at the start (S/E).

This route is very pleasant in summer with plenty of shade, but during rainy winter periods, some sections will be muddy and slippery.
