Notes

It is possible to reach the starting point without a car:

  • SCNF station: Mont-Dauphin - Guillestre
  • Public transport in the Queyras (there is notably a direct Zou coach between Mont-Dauphin - Guillestre station and Ristolas)

Before setting off, accommodation options in Abriès-Ristolas are:

The Escarton shuttle buses (see the public transport website for the Queyras above) connect Abriès, Ristolas, La Monta and L’Echalp. Alternatively, hitchhiking works well in the valley.

This route passes through a protected area, which may be subject to special regulations:
