Parking is available at Place du Temple or Place des Cèdres nearby.
(S/E) Leave the car park at the back of the square and join the main street (Grand Rue), turning right.
Before the bridge over the Bourges, turn right onto Rue de Lalevade. Continue to the end of this street.
(1) Continue along the path that follows it. Leave a path on the right and walk along the Bourges, towards Lachamp-Raphaël.
(2) Just after a bridge on the left and a beautiful view of the basalt flows along the Bourges, leave the horizontal path and turn right onto a paved slanting street leading up into the woods.
Continue to the hamlet of Les Sausses.
(3) Take the road on the right, climb up to the right in the first part of the hamlet and descend onto a small road. Turn right.
(4) After a cross on the left, turn right onto the old path from Burzet to Mézilhac.
Continue to Cros du Loup (hiking sign).
(5) Turn right onto a steep path leading up to the pass and then to a forest road.
(6) Leave the marked trail for a moment and turn right to reach the summit of knoll de Chalembelle.
(7) You will arrive at a plateau offering a magnificent view of the Bourges valley and the entire southern Ardèche.
To reach the summit (360° view), squeeze through the broom bushes, following a broken fence towards the western edge of the plateau. After the summit, continue straight ahead and join a path (not shown on the map). Turn right to return to the previous crossroads.
(6) Find the white-yellow markings and descend to the right along the forest road to the Col de Moucheyre.
(8) Cross the road, then turn right onto the Haute Cévenne d'ArdècheGRP® trail descending towards Burzet, leaving the path to Saint Pierre de Colombier on your left. You will reach the hamlet of Villard.
(9) Cross the road and take the small road opposite leading to the hamlet of Villard. Pass in front of the Chapelle Saint-Bénézet chapel, then take the path on the left.
Continue along this old path to Burzet.
At the Clock Tower, turn left, pass under an arch and then descend the fairly steep paved slanting streets to reach Place du Temple (S/E).
