Start from the car park at Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier on the left bank of the Bourges. There is an information board at the start of the walk.
(S/E) From here, without crossing the river, follow the path up through the meadows, then a single track (formerly a canal) to the Pont d'Arsac. This is a restored mill; Le Moulin du Prat, which marks this spot and is the starting point of the circular route (the signposts suggest another path on the right bank of the river, which connects Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier to Pont d'Arsac, which you can take on the way back).
(1) From here, we climbed to the right towards Le Prat. The signposting is clear (yellow markings). You can choose between following the road or a small path that cuts across the bends. Le Prat is a small group of houses, which you will pass through to rejoin the road. On the left, follow the road for 30 metres to a hairpin bend, where the path to Celas begins.
Follow a slightly uphill path that runs alongside a stream. Cross the stream via a (mini) bridge and begin a well-marked climb through old chestnut groves on a paved path.
You will arrive at a house on the edge of the Route de Celas.
(2) We decided to descend to the left along the road to Collanges. It is possible to finish the climb to Celas and take a path down to Collanges.
Whether you descend via the road or the path, both routes meet at the junction for Collanges Hautes.
(3) Leave Collanges Hautes on your right and follow the road towards Collanges. Immediately after leaving the hamlet, a small path descends on your left. There are no markings in Collanges (Hautes, Moyennes and Basses), so pay attention. Follow this path, which crosses the road once. Just after crossing the road, take the first path on the left, about 20 metres after which you will reach Collanges Basses. Here you will rejoin the road.
(4) Follow the road that enters the houses on the left, which will lead you to the path that goes to Le Prat. This is a beautiful path that descends and overlooks the river. There is no need for signposts, as there is only one path. Once on the road, turn left to find the crossroads from the outward journey.
(1) From there, you will find the mill via a small path that starts just before the bridge and follow the path in reverse from the start of the walk to return to the car park (S/E).
