Park in the car park before the entrance to the Talloires golf course, on the right-hand side of the road, opposite the school bus stop.
(D:A) Cross the road and take the path going up to the right of the bus stop (hiking signs). At the first fork (Grange d'Echarvines), take the left path. Then take the first path on the right. At the crossroads of four paths, go straight ahead. Stop at the viewpoint on the right of the route for a first glimpse of the lake and its surroundings.
(1) Retrace your steps and continue along the route. When you reach the Belvédère de la Crête, turn left for a magnificent view of the small lake, Talloires, Doussard, Talloires, etc
(2) Retrace your steps and take the rocky path on the left, which descends steeply. At the bottom of this first descent, continue straight ahead towards Echarvines and the Belvédère du Roc de Chère. Continue downhill. At the bottom of this second descent, turn left to reach a new viewpoint offering the most complete view of the lake.
(3) Retrace your steps and rejoin the route on the left. At the three-way junction, turn left and continue along the path on the right. At the next fork, keep left, cross the woods and arrive at the golf course fence.
(4) Follow this fence on the left, then take the path through the woods away from the golf course. Turn right onto the path that leads back to the golf course at the first gate. Go through the gate and take the path that runs along the left side of the golf course.
(5) At hole number 5, follow the signs for "promeneurs" (walkers) (to avoid disturbing golfers and for your safety). Go through a second gate and continue along the path. At the fork, continue straight ahead towards Menthon Saint Bernard. After stopping at the tomb of Hippolyte Taine (philosopher and historian), continue for 250 to 300 metres along the road to enjoy a final view of the lake and admire some beautiful properties.
(6) Turn around and retrace your steps. Pass through the two barriers and you will come back to the golf course fence after passing through the woods
(4) From this point, forget the route you took on the way there and continue along the golf course fence, sometimes straying a little from it. When you reach the Grange d'Echarvines crossroads, turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
