From Château de Menthon to Talloires

A beautiful hike on the right bank of Lake Annecy. It will take you to the paragliding launch site and then to the pretty village of Talloires.

(2) On leaving the village, head east towards Planfait
then south to reach a car park.

Very nice hike with magnificent views! A little bonus with the passage next to the paragliding take-off area.

Hike done in January, so hardly anyone around, beautiful views and a short detour to the magnificent Angon waterfall.
However, there are some fairly steep sections, especially towards the end of the hike, so you need to be in good physical condition.
I did it at a leisurely pace with my dog.

Completed in early June, the route showed us a total of 15 km in 4 hours.
It was very enjoyable and varied, as it took in many of the lake's must-see attractions, such as:
- Menthon Castle
- Angon Waterfall (where you can take a detour, adding 800m to the route)
- The banks of Talloires
- The Rock of Cher
The trail is mostly shaded and has a few water sources.
The only downside, in my opinion, was that the start of the route was a little complicated until you reached the paragliding take-off point.

This route is not too busy in January. But much more so in summer.
Thank you for sharing. It's a place I never tire of visiting.

A bit disappointed with the route, the sections on the tarmac road and crossing the village.

Very beautiful hike, lovely views
Route très fréquentée en certaines sections
The route markings are very brief and imprecise, so we had to rely entirely on the GPS track

A pleasant hike in the heatwave at the end of August 2023. The duration of the hike will vary depending on the hiker's level and certainly on the heat, as it took us more than 7 hours to complete the route and we had to refill our water bottles three times (we drank an average of 4-5 litres of water during the day).

The hike offers beautiful scenery at certain points, but expect to do a good bit of hiking in the forest and to find your way between points 2 and 3. Otherwise, the hike takes you through picturesque little villages on the shores of Lake Annecy, with views of La Tournette and other surrounding rocks.

Very beautiful hike. Difficult to find the path at points 2 and 3, even with GPS. Quite challenging ascents and descents, lots of branches and rocks. Very steep between 8 and 9, it's almost like rock climbing. Varied hike with the added bonus of swimming in Talloires.

The time indicated and difficulty level of the route correspond well to the route description.
Overall, the route was not very busy except at well-known tourist spots (Talloires) or activity centres (Planfait).
