(S/E) From the car park near the campsite, start your tour of Lac de la Comiren heading south, with the water treatment plant on your right. At the end, turn right, cross the footbridge over the Aber Ildud stream and continue along the road.
(1) At the roundabout, turn right onto Rue Saint-Yves. Follow this road to reach the central square of Saint-Renan. Continue on the left, still on Rue Saint-Yves.
(2) At Place du Général Leclerc, turn left onto Rue des Jardins, which slopes steeply downhill. At the roundabout, turn right to reach the shores of Lake Ty Colo 200 metres further on. Walk along the lake again on the right-hand side.
(3) At the end of the lake, continue straight ahead on the road and then the cycle path to reach the busy D67 road. Take care when crossing.
(4) Cross the road. Keep slightly to the right and take a small path between a property and a business (signposted) to reach Lac de Pontavennec. After 200 metres, a small footbridge leads to the lake shore.
(5) Continue straight ahead. There are two possible routes of different lengths. The shorter one is indicated here.
(6) Turn left to pass by a stretch of water offering a beautiful view. If you continue, this adds about 500 metres.
(5) Turn right and retrace your steps to Lake Ty Colo.
(3) Continue around the lake on the right.
(7) When you reach the end, turn right before the toilets and walk through the sports grounds. On the other side of the athletics track, go through a small tunnel and walk around the swimming pool on the right.
(8) At the road, turn left to return to the roundabout at the start.
(1) Walk to the edge of Lac de la Comiren and go around it on the right to reach the car park (S/E).
