Notes

It is possible to book all the refuges at the same time via the following website. When you book on this site, you will receive a map of the route and a technical T-shirt at one of the refuges along the route (usually the Pinet or Vallferrera refuges).

Further information about the route is available on the Étang Fourcat refuge website

It is not compulsory to climb the high peaks (Pica d'Estats, Pic de Verdaguer, Pic du Moncalm, Pic de Comapedrosa, Pic de Tristagne) by passing through the passes, but this adds extra interest to the route.

Important information: as this route covers high altitudes, the passes, ridges and peaks are frequently subject to storms. It is important to check the weather conditions at the refuges and on apps/websites to know when to set off. Also remember to locate shepherds' shelters (called Orris) to take refuge in case of storms and heavy rain (some are locked and others are open to all, and this can change every year).

Finally, snowfields may remain in July on the high mountain stages (stages 2, 3 and 5).

Always be cautious and plan ahead when you're outdoors. Visorando and the author of this route cannot be held responsible for any accidents occurring on this route.
