From Castellane, take the Robion road (D102) behind the swimming pool; after 2 km, park in the car park on the left.
(S/E) Set off along the path to the right of the road and head down towards a small stream before climbing up the other side. The path climbs quite steeply and soon joins the junction with the path leading to the summit of Mount Robion.
(1) Leave this path on your left and continue straight ahead. Enjoy a magnificent view of Les Cadières de Brandis and the little village of Taloire. The path climbs steadily without any difficulty; cross several streams to reach a junction of paths.
(2) Stay on the same path, heading south-west, until you reach a short, slightly exposed section about ten metres long. You’ll arrive at a place called La Colle.
(3) Head down to the left towards Fontpuge, where you’ll find a ruined house.
(4) Resume the climb towards Robion. The path follows a short section of the track leading to Château de Soleils; follow the very well-maintained signposting closely to reach the hamlet of Basse de la Doux.
(5) Stay on the path, take a 90° bend to reach the small village of Robion.
(6) In the village, head east towards the Chapel of St Thyrs, following the D302.
Just before the chapel, a track branches off to the right, taking you away from the road. This leads you to the chapel.
(7) Turn 90° to the left, heading due north, which takes you to the junction of the D302 and D102. Take a small path on the right, running beneath the road, which cuts across a bend. Cross the road; the path curves to the right and, at the end of this, turn immediately left to rejoin the signposted path further on.
(8) Turn right onto it to quickly rejoin the D102.

Cross the small bridge on your right. After the bridge, turn left onto the track leading to the Maison du Brec; after two bends, the path continues straight on – do not turn right as this is private property. Continue north-east until you reach the Col de Colle Meillane.
(10) Take an old, poorly marked track on the left which passes under the power line.
Note: if you have trouble finding it, carry on along the track; it will lead you to the road to the tip, very close to the car park.
The path overlooks the gorges – take care, as there is also a slightly exposed section. Join the track and then the road to the tip.
(11) Turn left onto the road to the tip to return to the starting car park (S/E).
2) Follow the signposts along the departmental road, which isn’t too busy with cars but isn’t particularly pleasant.
