Tour of La Chicotière

This short walk is a great way to discover this outlying neighbourhood of Dommartin and Marcilly-d'Azergues. You will pass through fields in a very peaceful area. Enjoy the view of the lower Beaujolais region and discover the little Chemin des Chouettes.

Description of the walk

Park on Rue des Iris (a few spaces available).

(S/E) Go back down Rue de la Chicotière, then quickly turn right onto Chemin des Mazettes, which becomes Chemin des Marchaudières further on. At the crossroads, turn right, then right again onto Impasse de la Carrière.

(1) In the left-hand bend of Impasse de la Carrière, take Chemin des Chouettes, which goes straight ahead, until you reach a road called Chemin du Bois des Chouettes.

(2) Follow it to the right

(3) When you reach the Chicotière neighbourhood, take a path between the houses on your right. This will take you to Place des Violettes, where you will find a cul-de-sac, Allée des Promevères, which will take you back to Rue des Iris (S/E).
