Park in the car park provided for hikers in the hamlet of Vieux-Bourg.
(S/E) Reach the path that passes above the Moulin de Haut. Head down towards the edge of the pond. Reach the wooden bridge.
(1) Turn right. Follow the shaded path to the stony track that crosses the Cojoux moor.
(2) Climb to the highest point of the megalithic site near the Moulin de Cojoux and reach a fork.
(3) Turn left, ignoring the hamlet of Poubreuil. Further on, turn right then left towards the hamlet of Le Marais, which you leave on your left.
(4) Turn right to cross the bridge over the Canut. Turn left at the cross and reach the Y-junction directly opposite Château du Val. You can see it on the left.
(5) Continue along the road on the left. Turn right at the right-angled bend to go round Bocadève. Reach the junction with a stony track.
(6) Turn left onto it and climb up to the Rocher de Bocadève.
(7) Take the path on the left. Begin a gentle descent to reach another junction near the confluence of the two streams.
(8) Turn left, following the left bank of the stream that feeds the Étang du Val. Pass above the Moulin du Bas and continue to the Moulin de Haut.
Stay on this path to reach the hikers’ car park in the hamlet of Vieux-Bourg very quickly (S/E).
We had previously done another hike, the Étang du Val and Megaliths in Saint-Just, which was much more interesting, prettier and more enjoyable.
