Titisee - Feldberg Passöhe

This hike starts at the Maritim Hotel in Titisee.

Signposting: Schwarzwald Westweg (western route), red diamonds.

(S) From the Maritim Hotel, heading south-east, take the Westweg, which is also known as the Grosse Seerunde (big lake tour). Follow the lake to its south-western end. You will come to the entrance to a campsite.

(1) Walk along the campsite to the reception and continue on the Westweg to the Feldberg-Bärental railway station.

(2) Turn right and enter the village via Tanneweg. Turn left towards the pretty Adlerweiher pond and take the underpass beneath Feldbergstrasse.

(3) On the left side of Feldbergstrasse, continue until you reach the Adler Bärental hotel.

(4) Following the red diamonds, continue uphill on a road that becomes a track at the entrance to the forest. Walk until you cross the Happweg track.

(5) Continue west until you reach an intersection.

(6) Follow the signs for Feldberg Caritas Haus to return to the Hochkopfhütte

(7) Enjoy the hut and tables for a lunch break. Continue towards Caritas Haus. Pass the clinic buildings and join the Passhöhe road. Turn left onto the road and continue for about 100 metres. Look for the start of a path on the left, marked by a red diamond.

(8) Follow the Westweg trail that runs along the pass road below. Arrive at the Menzenschwander inn.

(9) From the inn, return to the Passhöhe road. Head west to reach the Boutique Hotel Kokoschinski, your accommodation for the night. (E)
