Description of the walk

Start from the car park at Tabanac Town Hall.

(S/E) With your back to the Town Hall, turn left towards the school.

(1) After Château Renon, turn left onto Chemin de Lépine and head towards the Dourcy cemetery. Turn right, cross a wood and walk alongside the vineyards. The path turns right onto Chemin de Coussillan. Once you reach the hamlet, continue to No. 105.

(2) Turn left. Walk past the house and follow the path, heading back into the woods and vineyards. After a long straight stretch, the path turns left, then right, and joins the road.

(3) As you leave the vineyards, turn left onto Route de Camail, then take the first road on the right and follow the small path on the left after the boundary wall of Château Lagaroce.

(4) Take this path; at the end of the straight stretch, turn right and you’ll reach the hamlet of Douleys.

(5) Turn left, then at the three-way junction, keep left and pass in front of Château Sentout. After Château de Lacaussade, turn right and stay on the left-hand road at the three-way junction.

(6) Continue straight on, then head down through the woods, staying on the path on the right to reach the D10. Cross the D10 with care (dangerous area), and follow this road to the left.

(7) Take the road on the right after the Citroën garage and continue along the track at the end of the straight stretch. Go to the end of this track and then turn left.

(8) At the road, continue straight ahead then turn right at the next three-way junction. At the three-way junction, turn right, go past the sewage treatment plant then turn onto the white track on the right and head towards the banks of the Garonne.

(9) At the fishing huts, turn left onto the grassy path.

(10) Walk past the Tramasset shipyards and continue straight on to L’Estey. Ignore the small bridge and turn left along the stream.

(11) After the small tunnel, turn left into Rue de la Liberté and cross the park to reach the town hall.

(12) Opposite the town hall, take Chemin de la Côte on the left.

(13) At the Mail Haut house, turn right onto the small path that climbs into the woods. Caution: the slope is very steep and the path can be slippery. At the junction, cross the road and go straight on.

(14) At the right-hand bend, turn left and follow the path or walk alongside the vineyards. At the end, turn left onto Route Lestage to return to the starting point in Tabanac (S/E).
