In the footsteps of the bandit Moneuse from Hon-Hergies

Park in the car park at Hon-Hergies Town Hall. Follow the numbers on the cycle route network.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, Rue Gaston Génarte, where you will see the Muse Lilith, turn right towards RPN no. 58, ignore Rue Gaston Genarte on the right, Rue Joffre on the left and then Chemin Martel on the right, and continue to the fork in the road.

(1) Turn left onto Rue Maxime Ansieau towards RPN no. 50 and continue to a fork in a sharp left-hand bend.

(2) Turn left onto Rue Wilson and head towards RPN no. 54. Continue straight on until you reach Hergies.

(3) Turn right at the first intersection, Rue des Fonds, towards RPN no. 80. You will arrive at the junction with the D305.

(4) Continue almost opposite, Rue de l'École, until you reach the four-way intersection.

(5) Turn left towards RPN no. 72, then turn right towards RPN no. 71, Rue de la Maniette. Continue straight ahead on Rue du Moulin and head towards the stream.

(6) Keep going and then turn left onto Rue de la Place. Continue on the same road until you reach Château de Bellignies and Pierre Croûte, towards RPN no. 73.

(7) At the four-way intersection, RPN no. 73, continue straight ahead on Rue du Stade towards RPN no. 77. Turn right onto the D224, Route de Bettrechies, which becomes Rue de Bavay, and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue Crocqu'Ane.

(8) Continue straight ahead and immediately turn left onto Rue Gillette (where you will see the Muse Salomé statue). Continue to Rue de Saint-Waast.

(9) Turn left towards No. 74 on the RPN, Rue de Saint-Waast. At the end, turn left and you will come to a fork with a grassy island in the middle.

(10) Leave the RPN and turn right onto Chemin de la Flamengrie, which then becomes Route de Bettrechies (boundary markers present). Continue to a four-way intersection.

(11) Turn left onto Rue de la Perche towards RPN no. 74. Ignore a path on the right and turn left. Go around a large bend and you will come to a fork in the road next to a beautiful building.

(12) Leave the RPN - Tour au bois or des Sarrazins and turn right onto Chemin de la Carrière. Continue straight ahead, then turn right onto Chemin Lucq, which runs alongside the Bavay river. You will arrive at Rue du Curé, at the chevet of Saint-Pierre Church in Saint Waast-la-Vallée.

(13) At RPN no. 76, turn left, then left again at the next four-way intersection onto Rue de Bellignies. Continue straight ahead until you reach the Bréaugies watering hole.

(14) At the fork, go right, then at the next intersection, turn right onto Chemin de Bréaugies. At the end, you will arrive at Rue de Ruinse. Continue right until you reach Rue des Lilas.

(15) Take this street on the left, cross the D524, Rue des Martyrs, and continue straight ahead on Rue des Jonquilles until the next intersection.

(16) Turn right onto Chemin Delmer, ignore a street on the left and reach No. 75 on the RPN. Turn left onto Chemin du Bois Verdiau towards No. 72 on the RPN. Continue to Rue des Rocs.

(17) Turn right onto Rue des Rocs Les Carrières du Bavaisis, which becomes Rue Wilson, then take the D105 on the right and then left onto Rue de la Marne.

(18) At the crossroads with the small chapel on your left, go straight ahead. At the end, turn right towards RPN no. 58 and join the car park of Hon-Hergies Town Hall (S/E).
