Departure from the Place de la Mairie in Gaillefontaine.
(S) On the square, turn right onto the pavement and walk to the traffic lights in front of the town hall, cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and immediately turn right.
(1) Turn onto the first street that goes uphill on your left, Rue aux Juifs, and continue to Place Hoche.
Turn right onto Rue de Paris. At the junction with Rue de Foulerie, continue straight ahead, pass the entrance to Château de Gaillefontaine and continue to the junction of roads and paths.
(2) Take the Chemin du Château d'Eau opposite. Follow the path along the edge of the woods until you reach a fork, then continue on your right until you reach the T-junction with Route de la Chaussée d'Amiens at the calvary.
(3) Turn left onto the tarmac road, pass in front of the water tower and continue to the crossroads in a bend.
(4) Continue along the road opposite, take the first path on your right just after the farm. Follow this path to the crossroads and turn immediately right onto the path.
(5) Continue on your left along Chemin Saint-Christophe. At the first fork, turn left, then at the second fork, turn right. Take Chemin du Mal Assis to the D135.
(6) Take the D135 on your left for 320 metres and take the first dirt track on your left for about 1 km until you reach the D129.
(7) Cross it near the brick SNCF bridge, take the path opposite that runs alongside the railway line to the road and turn left.
(8) At the fork, turn right into Impasse du Clos Cagnard, which ends in a dirt track. Continue along thisGR® de Pays path until you reach a T-junction and turn left until you reach the next crossroads and road.
(9) Take the path opposite at the edge of the woods, Allée de France. At the end of this path, on your left, join the tarmac road, Route de la Chaussée d'Amiens. Continue along this road until you reach a fork (the crossroads you passed on the way there).
(4) Continue on your right. At a crossroads, take the first path opposite, which runs alongside the castle woods until you reach a crossroads. Continue on your left along the sloping path that descends towards Gaillefontaine.
(10) At the bottom of the path, join the D919 on your left. Walk down Grande Rue to Place Hoche with its old covered market. Cross Grande Rue at the pedestrian crossing near the market. Turn left and walk down Grande Rue to the junction with the D135 at the traffic lights. Cross the D135 at the pedestrian crossing. Turn right to reach Place de la Mairie (S/E).
