Start: St Bees beach car park
(S/E) From the car park, take the path (on the side of the road) going to St Bees village (East) leaving the Seacote hotel on your right. Continue straight on the pavement until reaching an intersection of roads.
(1) Keep East on the path between the road and the field and stay on it until reaching the village and the main road.
(2) Turn right onto the main road, walk towards the train station and uphill to the centre of the village. Keep walking up until nearly exiting the village.
(3) Turn right on Nethertown Road. Keep walking on this road (South) exiting the village. After approximately three hundred meters, you will see a footpath on your right.
(4) Turn right to take that footpath and keep walking to reach the gate by the train line. At the gate, turn right (the train line should be on your left) and continue straight until reaching Sea Mill Lane road.
(5) Turn left, pass under the bridge and continue to the car park. Cross the car park walking towards the beach. At the end of the car park, take the little path on the right to cross the river using the bridge.
Alternative - If tide is low, you can walk on the beach back to the car park.
(6) Turn right (North) to walk on the path below the golf course. Continue straight on this path that goes all around the golf course. Reach the golf car park.
