For ease of description, the following symbols are used:

Sign No. 26 or P26: Red/white multi-directional sign with green sticker No. 26.
The start of this hike is at the Hotel Seegarten Marina in Spiez.
(S) From the hotel, go to the terrace by the harbour and walk around the marina to the beach (Bad).
(1) Stay along the lake on Strandweg. Look for sign No. 26 to confirm you are going in the right direction. Pass the cantonal fish farm buildings and public toilets before turning towards Faulensee Bay (elevation 559 and sign No. 26).
(2) Continue along the beautiful lakeside promenade to the pier for cruise boats on Lake Thun.
(3) Continue along Faulensee Bay, passing the Strandhotel Seeblick, until you reach the road to Interlaken and arrive at the car park at the Faulensee playground (Spielplatz).
(4) Continue along the lake shore, passing a small beach in Faulensee, then the small cantonal port of Güetital. About 100 metres after this small port, look out for a R sign just at the intersection with a small road on the right.
(5) At the R sign, cross with caution, turn right and use the underpass under the railway line and then under the motorway. Follow the R signs and climb up to Angernstraße (P26).
(6) Keep heading south-east and follow the R and P26 signs to join Mületalweg as soon as you reach the first houses in Krattigen.
(7) Follow the signs for Mületalweg, Schüpfgasse, Schulhausgasse and then Dorfstraße. You will find another P26 car park next to a sports field.
(8) Turn left onto Chlostergasse, then follow Gerichummgasse and leave the village. As soon as the road narrows, look for a sign for R.
(9) Turn right towards the south, then west, until you reach a fork with a No. 26 sign.
(10) As suggested by P26, turn left and keep heading south, following the signs. You will arrive at a small road after passing under a high-voltage power line. (Cote 907 - P26).
(11) Follow the instructions on P26 and head for the small Hellbode refuge.
(12) Continue climbing until the next intersection. This is also the highest point of the day's stage.
(13) Begin the descent and follow the three consecutive No. 26 signs to return to Schupfweid (or Schipfweid) at a hairpin bend.
(14) Turn right, cross a stream, then head east and follow the numerous P26 signs to the Panoramabrücke suspension bridge in Lessingen.
(15) Cross the suspension bridge and admire the Spissibach Gorge before reaching the right bank of this stream.
(16) Continue the walk through the forest, crossing two more streams before reaching the Meielisalp hotel. Enjoy the view of Lake Thun.
(17) Turn right towards Stoffelberg. Shortly after Martiszun, follow the signs for P26 to reach a small road.
(18) Follow it to the left and stay on this road until you reach a roundabout before passing under the Interlakenstraße.
(19) Drive along the Interlakenstraße for about 1.5 km, then descend along the edge of a car park for a few metres before reaching a R sign.
(20) Climb a little to keep some distance from Interlakenstraße. Continue calmly until you reach the descent to a roundabout.
(21) Carefully enter the roundabout on the right, leaving the Därligenstraße. Turn towards the Unterseenstraße and quickly look for a small road that descends to the right.
(22) Follow the signs for Interlaken West, pass under the two motorway lanes and immediately look for sign No. 26.
(23) Turn left and return to the bank of the SchifffahrtsKanal. (P26)
(24) Follow the canal to the recycling plant and return to Lütscherenstraße.
(25) Turn left, approach the railway line along Lütscherenstraße and then Fabrikstraße.
(26) Follow the quay to Interlaken West station. (E)
