Söllereckbahn - Fellhorn Gipfel via the ridge

From Oberstdorf bus station, take bus line 1 towards Baad and get off at the Söllereckbahn stop (gondola lift).
Take a single ticket to Söllereck with the Allgäu-Walser-Card.
The starting point for this hike is at the Söllereckbahn mountain station (Söllereckbahn Bergstation).

(S) From the top station, head towards the Berghaus am Söller.

(1) Head south-east and take a fairly steep path through the woods until you reach a fork signposted "Fellhorn 2h30".

(2) Turn right and join a track.

(3) Turn left and follow this pleasant track to Gasthof Sölleralp.

(4) Just before the inn, turn right. Begin the climb towards the Austrian-German border ridge on open terrain.

(5) Turn left to follow the pleasant ridge trail separating Germany from Austria to Schlappolteck.

(6) Continue along this border path, which is narrow in places and has a few steep sections, to the summit of Fellhorn.

(7) From the summit, quickly reach the cable car station (E).
