From Baad to the Bärgunt Hut

(S/E) Start at the bus stop in Baad. We leave the roundabout heading towards the centre and take the first left.

(1) The path takes us across the Breitach, into which the Bärguntbach flows here. We follow the Bärguntbach alongside a pasture. We take the second left onto the Panoramaweg.

(2) From the bend, there’s a lovely view back towards Baad. We follow the Panoramaweg, which takes us past the foot of the Bärenkopf and the Kleiner Widderstein. We pass the Alpe Widderstein (3).

(4) We cross the Bärguntbach stream. The Panoramaweg meets another path. From here, the Bärgunt Hut is already in sight; we continue straight on towards the hut.

(5) We take a break at the Bärgunt Hut before heading back to Baad along the gentler, lower path. To do this, we keep to the left at the junction with the Panoramaweg and follow the Bärguntbach, first on the left bank, then on the right. At the end of the path in Baad, we turn right and walk back to the bus stop via the roundabout (S/E).
