Description of the walk

From the Allemond cross-country ski centre, you can hire the necessary equipment to follow the route described.

(S/E) On leaving the centre, turn right and head towards the school and the Eau d’Olle Express car park (cable car).

(1) Before the cable car car park, go through the gate on your right, then walk alongside the school canteen building. Then turn left when you reach the stadium, heading towards the steps (small hill) and the river. You’ll reach the start of the Allemond cross-country ski trail, which is located past the Eau d’Olle Express cable car boarding station. You can put your skis on here!

(2) Follow the stream westwards (cycle path towards Bourg d'Oisans). Stay on the riverbank for 1 km.

(3) At Parc de la Chape, opposite the pharmacy, turn back towards the start of the Eau d'Olle Express car park.

(2) Follow the outward route back to the cross-country ski centre (S/E).

Notes

Route accessible on cross-country skis during the winter season, subject to snow conditions.
Depending on snow conditions, it is possible to extend the route to Bourg d’Oisans, then Venosc: please note, the Voie Verte is interrupted and the route passes through a residential area where you must take off your skis on certain sections, particularly after the Parc de la Chappe in Allemond.
When the route is not covered in snow, you can follow the Voie Verte.

If you are coming by car, you can park in the car park at the Eau d'Olle Express cable car. The car park is open during the day only.
From the Eau d’Olle Express car park, stay on level 0 and follow the river.

The route is accessible via the Oisans Vaujany le Verney Musée Hydrélec-Venosc (Les 2 Alpes) shuttle bus in winter. Stop: Eau d’Olle Express / Allemond car park. For information, operating periods and timetables, visit Oisans Tourisme.
