(S/E) Starting from the car park opposite the town hall, walk between the town hall and the church. The small street takes you round a right-angle bend to the left. Go downhill and then back up the opposite side, pass the cemetery and take the small street on the right.
(1) Cross the D14 and take the grassy path opposite. Cross a small tarmac road and continue straight ahead along the path running beneath a power line. Continue in this direction until you reach the hamlet of Les Rentes.
(2) You’ll come to a bit of tarmac; turn right onto the small road leading downhill. At the junction, continue straight ahead along the path that climbs, skirting a small wood before heading back down. At the crossroads, turn left; the path is occasionally bordered by a small hedge.
(3) Before reaching the road (at a hedge), turn right onto a faint path between fields. Continue in this direction until you come to a good path on the right, which you should take.
(4) Pass by a farm with cows, keep going straight on, cross the D14 again and enter the hamlet of La Gallacherie.
(5) Walk through the hamlet, ignoring two roads branching off to the left, and continue straight on. As you leave the hamlet, the tarmac gives way to a good path. At the next junction, turn right towards the Bois du Breuil. Follow the path uphill towards the water tower. When you reach the road, take it to the right.
(6) Pass by the water tower, keeping it on your left, and follow the small road to Birac. At the stop sign, continue straight ahead, passing in front of the town hall, then return to the starting point (S/E).
a pleasant and varied route that is easy to follow.
