Description of the walk

Start: Seascale Car Park, 10 South Parade, Seascale CA20 1PZ, free

(S/E) From the car park, walk to the beach and then turn right to walk on the beach (north) towards Sellafield site and the golf course.

(1) Turn right on the footpath between the end of the golf course and Sellafield site (be careful to stay on the footpath to not disturb the golf players). The path will then enter fields and then reach a little road. Continue straight on the path until reaching another.

(2) Turn left on the road to walk toward the farm then take the left path (north-west) to cross the farm. Continue on the road until reaching Calder hamlet.

(3) At the intersection turn right and after a couple of metres turn left. Continue straight  on the road that is entering the small wood of Lingbank Moor.

(4) Turn right to walk through Lingbank Moor (some navigation skills will be needed here as the paths on the ground are not really visible). Then turn left to find the road that passes in front of Newton Manor. Turn right on the road and continue on this road (the manor will be on your right hand side) until reaching an intersection.

(5) Turn right and continue on the road (west) towards Fleming Hall. At the next intersection turn left to walk through the farm and take the path (south-east) that exit the farm and continue between field. Continue straight on this path until reaching a gate and the main road.

(6) At the road, turn right to walk on the footpath by the road. Continue straight on this path until the entrance of Seascale. Then continue straight going down the city centre and then the beach walking on the pavement. Pass under the railway bridge and continue walking down to the beach and car park (S/E).
