Wild scorpion beetle: a Camargue symphony

To access the starting point, head to Les Iscles on the D17, 930600 Gallician - Vauvert, where free parking is available.

(S/E) Stop by the Scamandre Discovery Centre to register your entry and pick up a leaflet containing information on the connection points between the trails, so you can tailor your walk to your interests.
Once in the park, take the path heading north-west along the Canal des Carpettes. After about 600 metres, turn right and continue along the Roselière du Bouveau until you reach the connection point.

(1) Turn right onto the path on the left dyke. Follow this path to the first intersection.

(2) Turn left (east) and continue until you reach the boardwalk. Turn left again, then quickly turn right to reach an observation platform.

(3) Retrace your steps and turn right onto the boardwalk. Continue until you reach the connection point.

(1) Continue straight ahead towards the observatory. Follow the boardwalk until you reach the observatory.

(4) Retrace your steps to the connection point.

(1) Continue left to cross the Marais de Buisson Gros, from west to east, until you reach the crossroads.

(5) At the intersection, turn right and continue until you reach the sign for Belvédère. Follow this direction for a few metres to reach a viewing point.

(6) Return to the path and continue south, then west. You will pass the Domaine de la Fromagère on your right, where you can admire Camargue horses. Continue to the car park (S/E).

No entrance fee is required. A suggested contribution for site maintenance: €5.00.
A picnic area and toilets are available during the site's opening days and hours.
Please note: dogs are not allowed on the courses, even on a leash, under penalty of a fine.
The site must be vacated by 6:00 p.m. (automatic closure of the car park)

Several observation platforms, viewpoints and observatories allow you to admire the varied wildlife of the marsh.
