Parking near the Franquevaux bullring (map).
(S/E) Turn left towards the centre via Boulevard de la Félicité (D197). Drive carefully. Continue along this boulevard after passing Franquevaux.
(1) Turn left before the Franquevaux bridge over the canal. Continue along the Canal du Rhône à Sète for a few kilometres, leaving a path and a footbridge on your left as the canal curves to the right. Continue for 1 km after this bend.
(2) After passing "l'Escalassoum" (Mirador), which offers a beautiful view of the entire Camargue, turn left at the fishmongers' sign onto a small path that crosses the Cougourlier marsh. When the path turns left, continue to the next right turn.
(3) At this bend, continue straight ahead on the grassy path, which is quickly covered by beautiful reeds.
(4) When you reach the old gatekeeper's house, cross the railway line and take the white path on the right until you reach the D6572 road.
(5) Take care, you are coming to a very busy road. Cross it and continue straight ahead towards Mas des Costieres de Nimes; you are now on the Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. Continue slowly along this small road until you reach the Philippe Lamour canal.
(6) Turn left before the bridge and follow the canal for several kilometres along the Chemin d'Arles. Take the opportunity to discover this structure (the former lower Rhône canal), which carries water from the Rhône to the plains of the Gard and Hérault. Cross the D197 with caution.
(7) When you reach the Saint-Jacques signpost, in the middle of the umbrella pines, turn left and head towards the road. Leave Chemin d'Arles and head towards a road.
(8) When you reach this road, turn left towards the Domaine de Beaubois.
(9) Cross the road and the railway line with caution and take the road (D197) on the left, then turn right towards Franquevaux to reach your vehicle near the arena (S/E).
