Park in the Abreuvoir car park. In the village, follow these directions.
(S/E) From there, take the path lined with lampposts and walk along the ramparts. At the medieval entrance to the village, continue along the ramparts to Rue du Moulin and follow it to the left for a few metres.
(1) Turn left again towards Montarmet and continue to the hamlet. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead, leaving the dovecote on your left, then take the farm track.
(2) At the fork next to the farm building, turn left and follow the path to the woods. Go down into the woods via the small path.
(3) Stay above the Volgrain fountain and follow this path. A little further on, do not take the footbridge but follow the river for about 30 metres and continue. Keep left on the path which, after the climb, leads to a farm track.
(4) Turn right. Continue along this farm track until you reach a small road, then turn right towards Barjon.
(5) At the entrance to the village and just after the farm building, turn right and go down the street to the church.
(6) Next to the picnic tables, take the entrance to the Saint-Frodulphe Chapel with its 8th-century tomb. Leaving the chapel, turn right onto Rue de Matrot and a little further on, turn right again onto the small road that leaves the village and joins the D19.
(7) Turn left to follow the D19 towards Avot, then cross the river.
(8) Cross the Moulin de Barjon leat and, just before the bend, take the farm track on the right. After about ten metres, turn right again. Continue along this track until you reach the D120
(9) Follow this road to the left towards the village of Le Meix.
(10) Pass in front of the town hall, taking the time to see its wash house below, then in front of the church and descend towards the castle. Go around the castle on the right.
(11) At the end of the castle wall, take the farm track on the right through the pastures (ignore the track further to the right). Follow this track straight ahead and keep to the right at the fork (elevation 416). This track leads to the D19 at the entrance to Salives. Walk about 50 metres to the left, then turn left again onto Chemin des Remparts. When you reach Rue de la Borde, turn right and follow this street to the wash house, where the main source of the Tille is located.
(12) Go around the wash house and church, which form a block, and follow Rue d'Amont to the left until you reach the keep. Once at the keep, continue straight ahead to reach the car park (S/E).
